Apples nya förslag inkluderar emojis som representerar olika typer av funktionsnedsättningar. Det kan handla om emojis man kan använda för att symbolisera nedsatt syn, hörselskador, rörelsehinder och andra funktionsnedsättningar.
Apple har arbetat med de tre organisationerna American Council of the Blind, Cerebral Palsy Foundation samt National Association of the Deaf för att ta fram de 13 stycken nya emoji-förslagen. I sitt förslag skriver Apple bland annat:
”Currently, emoji provide a wide range of options, but may not represent the experiences of those with disabilities. Diversifying the options available helps fill a significant gap and provides a more inclusive experience for all.”
